By default, all images on a WordPress site are compressed at 90% of their original size and quality.
The Disable JPEG Compression plugin disables this annoying feature in the WP core, so images are stored and displayed at the quality the webmaster intended them to be seen.
This is a recommended plugin for portfolio, photography or graphics sites.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
